Megan Rossman

Megan Rossman is from Vail, Colorado and is an Art History major. Megan’s image is Jackie Brookner’s Laughing Brook, which is a part of a wetland and stormwater filtration system created in Cincinnati, Ohio from 2002-2009.

“I studied Jakie Brookner and her work for my Methods of Art History class, and I was always drawn to her work not only for its simple and elegant beauty but also for the functional components of her work. Brookner as an artist worked and collaborated with communities to create spaces that can foster relationships and provide services to the environment. Her work speaks about how art can be multi-purpose and functional, creating positive change for the people and places that it inhabits.”
