Noah Foster

Noah Foster is an Art History major with a concentration in Asian Studies.

“I have always been inspired by artists and forms of expression in different cultural settings. My dream piece of art to own is a Shiva Nataraja, made in Tamil Nadu, India in the 11th century.

It is a piece made of bronze and represents Shiva dancing the world into existence, surrounded by a ring of fire. The image is of the piece in the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. One of my very favorite Art History classes was Professor Kucera’s Sacred Sites of Asia, looking at the art and architecture in places of worship and ritual practice.”
