Madi is from Hendersonville, North Carolina. She is an Art History Major with concentrations in Management Studies and Asian Studies.
Madi’s image is an object from St. Olaf’s Flaten Art Museum collection that she really loves.
“I find ceramics to be extremely interesting, and in the East Asian tradition they’ve proven to be very important throughout my studies. Not much is known about this water vessel in our collection, and my intention was to research it; I was also hoping to unite it with my interests in Korean culture, since we don’t have much information available in the current curriculum when it comes to Korean studies.”
