“In the last few weeks, I find myself drawn to a piece I wrote about in Prof. Tradowsky’s Methods class; Bill Viola’s video art piece, Two Women (2008), shows two women helping each other cross a veil of water through connection and expression.
The women’s movements are depicted in slow motion and I feel every flicker of their joy, sorrow, and tranquility. Viola reminds me to breathe and savor each moment, letting the emotion, whatever it may be, flow through me.”
