Senior Capstone Project
Spring Lyric Theater Show
For my senior capstone project I directed and produced a production of the musical She Loves Me through the St Olaf College Lyric Program. I began planning for this project junior year through discussions with my academic advisor Dale Kruse. In January 2021 our production team first began to meet, and the show was cast at the beginning of March 2021. The performance dates are Friday, May 7th and Saturday, May 8th 2021 in the St. Olaf College CHM courtyard.
This project took on a new meaning during the Covid 19 pandemic that changed some of our original plans. We moved the production outside to comply with the CDC and St Olaf College community guidelines regarding singing indoors. All actors wore faceshields, and stage blocking and audience seating included social distancing. I’ve included the link to my capstone presentation that describes the project in more detail HERE.
