Other Student Contributors

Throughout the development of this online exhibit, a number of other St. Olaf students have contributed to the content creation and site design work. These collaborators helped in particular with the multimedia elements that make a website like this possible and valuable.

I study social work and German at St. Olaf. In summer 2022, I worked with Prof. Randall to produce the first digitizations of Howard Hong's official LWF-SR report and accompanying photo album, two primary sources that are foundational in the historiography of the Lutheran World Federation Service to Refugees, 1947-1949.

I'm a double major in history and German. During the fall of 2024 I worked on the website's film archive writing new synopses of the documentaries on the LWF relief funding and efforts. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to work on this project and learn more about European history!

I am a double major in German and psychology. In the 2025 fall semester, I proofread and corrected transcriptions of a set of WCAL radio program recordings with stories about the work of the federation. I also coded the recordings for context, speakers, and key quotes, to be used for developing an additional area in the site’s multimedia section. I really enjoyed the chance to hear other peoples’ stories and contribute to their histories being told!”
