My public health major has allowed me to examine the underlying factors of health inequities. A solid foundation in statistical analysis and research methods, has enabled me to explore the social determinants and analyze the many factors affecting health. Throughout this course of study, I have focused on the socio- ecological, cultural, historical, and socio-economic factors that influence health outcomes. This major broadly prepares myself for a career in public health policy, advocacy, community health, and in scientific research fields such as epidemiology and population health science.
