I am most interested in seeing the ancient city of Selinus and mosaics at the dig site. The ruins at Selinus combined with all of the nature makes it look absolutely gorgeous. There is more freedom to roam at your own pace which allows you to immerse yourself and get a better feel to all that may have happened there. The cenotaph would be neat to see because it is a good example of the differences in burial practices from then to now, especially for prominent figures. At the dig site, I am excited to see the mosaics first hand because I appreciate art and like learning about its significance. Art has always been a way to express oneself and it can help us humanize the past.

Stratigraphy is want I would like to learn more about because it is what I am most unfamiliar with. I would like to learn more about the impact stratigraphy has on what can be understood from archeological findings as well as what can be determined from stratigraphy itself.

I think it would be fun to explore the surrounding area and become more familiar with the city. When looking in google maps, I saw that there was a grocery store, a chocolatier, and a fountain, which could all be interesting to see. When I travel to other countries, grocery stores are often one of my first stops. It is a very easy way to see and understand cultural differences. (And maybe try some local food).
