As there are a lot of things/objects/places that are fascinating to look at/research on the grounds of Antiochia, nothing compares to my excitement to see the Kragos Cliff overseas. Not only did it kick-start the name and foundation of the city by the Roman empire, which I felt is a good place to start researching/acknowledging its foundation, but the location where transportation possibly took place when trading is exciting for me to be able to be in a position where I can find artifacts under the cliff (if it’s possible for me to do scuba-diving to dig any artifacts under the cliff) and as well as the top for the possibility once more to find more artifacts. Despite not being able to do all those things since I am not a professional archaeologist and/or I am studying to become one (I am an upcoming Anthropologist btw), either way, I felt visiting and exploring the Kragos Cliff would be a highlight for me because of the wanting to feel connected between land and sea. As such, it means for me to be able to understand the purpose of the cliff (as well as anything found or seen in Antiochia) and how it can be relevant 2500 years to now in the present day.

As much as I wanted to do some exploring on the camping sites and locations I will be staying/studying/researching, as a person of taste I want to try some Turkish food from the locals to be able to connect/understand the culture of Turkey before my Big Dig this July. Now, how does this work? I am not too sure. I just like food either way because food brings communities together even if dishes are extremely different from theirs. But at the same time, food is an important source of connection I can do to be able to connect the culture of Turkey right now because of my lack of language skills/cultural knowledge, and directions to that country. As for now, I want to try any traditional foods and treats in any local restaurants and vendors in Turkey before the Big Dig starts.

Side Note: As a kid, I remember my father bringing me and my sister Baklava from work and it was the most delicious pastry I have ever eaten. Cant wait to eat a traditional one in Turkey!
