After completing the readings, I am really looking forward to seeing mosaics on site. I am interested in seeing if there is evidence that in Antiochia ad Cragum mosaics faced the same fate as in other locations when they fell out of fashion and were covered over by more simpler flooring. I’m also curious to see what they depict and what historical conclusions can be drawn from them.
Before the dig starts, I would love to see the ocean and I’m super excited to experience Turkish cuisine. If there’s time I’d also like to acquaint myself with the area and go on a walk or hike with others, to get to know better what part of the region I’d like to explore more in the future during free days.
