I spent most of week three working with the lovely ladies up at the temple, in the north trench. The  north temple trench is formed by two retaining walls that we think were used to protect the temple from alluvium washed down the hill side,  and a third wall that that hits the north retaining wall at an odd angle. The poor construction and odd angle of the west wall make us think that it was formed at a later date. We still have no idea why it was constructed. We think that the high collection of pottery pieces, roof tiles, and other finds in this area were caused from things washing down the hill above and getting trapped by the retaining walls. The north trench is slowly shrinking as more and more bedrock is found across the trench.
