The bumble bee is probably one of the better pollinators of milkweed because its thick legs are good at pulling out and inserting pollinia. I read at bumblebeewatch.org recently that some bumble bees, like the rusty patch bumble bee, are associated with milkweed. That makes me wonder if milkweed restoration will help the endangered rusty patch?
