Welcome

This collaborative research hub is designed for students, teachers, and researchers:

For students and teachers, we provide an introduction to Greta Thunberg’s activities and speeches, as well as lessons on how to use her most effective strategies in their own writing. Students can also learn about the science of climate change that drives Greta’s work. Finally, students can discover other youth climate activists from around the world.

For researchers, this is the home of the Responses to Thunberg Database, a searchable database of international opinion writing that responds to Thunberg’s speeches and activism. We also provide a Researcher’s Toolkit to help launch your project.

This site is a collaborative project produced by undergraduate students at St. Olaf College, under the direction of Jenna Coughlin, PhD, Visiting Assistant Professor in the Norwegian Department.
