Hello, nice to meet you! My is Liv Elizabeth, some people call me L, either is fine by me. I’m a current class of 2024 student with a double major in studio art and education. After graduation I plan on teaching in Seoul, South Korea for a few years, and maybe taking some ballet classes there too. When it comes to my work as an artist I primarily create 2D multimedia artwork and graphic design pieces. When I’m not creating artwork, I attend ballet classes at Ballet Royale in Lakeville, or working at Target off of Cedar Ave in Apple Valley. In my free time between working, college, and ballet, I enjoy learning French and Korean, listening to over 70 genres of music (according to my Spotify), watching countless dramas on Netflix, and catching up on BTS contents.
When it comes to this class, I look forward to learning from all the different speaker we will encounter this month. Learning from their experiences will be very powerful, along with building those connections that have the potential to help us in our careers in the near future. Although, I’ve never taken a class during interim before so it will be challenging at first to adjust to the fast paced nature of a demanding content filled class. When thinking of all the potential inspiring outcomes we will get from taking this class and completing the final policy proposal it out weighs the stresses of getting to that point. I hope to create a policy proposal involving ballet and it’s accessibility.
