Many thanks to the wonderful staff at the Smithsonian American Art Museum who made our experience there this past Wednesday so fruitful: Phoebe Hillemann (Teacher Institutes Educator), Geoffrey Cohrs (Docent Coordinator), and Elizabeth Dale-Deines (Teacher Programs Coordinator) took us on insightful tours of the museum; led us through creative, thought-provoking, active learning activities that asked us to make difficult, curatorial decisions; and answered our many, many questions. They gave us three hours of their time and energy, and we are so grateful for it!
