Denim Day

Denim Day is a sexual assault prevention campaign triggered by an Italian supreme court decision that overturned rape charges. The decision ruled that since the survivor of sexual assault was wearing tight jeans, she must have help her perpetrator remove her own pants. The following day, people in the Italian Parliament wore denim in solidarity for the survivor.
Denim Day takes place on a Wednesday in April every year and we as an organization ask for faculty, staff and students to wear denim in solidarity to protest against the misconceptions that surround sexual assault.
