Sarah Swan-Kloos
Sarah Swan-Kloos is a Studio Art and Art History major from Columbia, South Carolina. As an artist, she is passionate about making art more accessible to the public. She reflects these values in her own work by separating the hierarchy between the artist and the viewer through the process of printmaking, where she works to include viewers in her art-making process. In her research, Sarah is interested in modern and contemporary art that works to break down the hierarchical structures of colonialism. Artists such as Barbara Krueger, Kara Walker, and Yayoi Kusama and thinkers such as Angela Davis and Stuart Hall are some of the people that inform her practice.
