Natalia Granquist

As someone deeply interested in the points of convergence between disciplines in the great lattice of art history, Natalia Granquist enjoys working through this passion of hers in her art and research. Recently, she completed her distinction in art history, which focused on amplifying the stories of Teha’amana and Ni Pollok, who greatly influenced the works of south sea Orientalists. She loves to conduct research, especially when working through a decolonial lens and with topics that engage the lives, stories, and works of women of color. Through whatever medium Natalia works in, she strives to uncover lesser-known stories and to relay her own gaze as a Balinese woman navigating the historically white, male-dominated world of art and art history.
