Professor Anna Brezny grew up in Minnesota and received her B.A. from Carleton College. She attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin–Madison working with Professor Clark Landis to study the kinetics and mechanism of rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric hydroformylation. After completing her Ph.D., Anna moved to Yale University as an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow with Professor James Mayer, where she explored the mechanism and selectivity of electrocatalytic oxygen reduction. She joined the chemistry faculty at Skidmore College in the fall of 2020. She moved to St. Olaf College in the summer of 2022.
