Review Process

The Reed is an undergraduate journal in that it is made, written, and edited by undergraduates. Our carefully-selected team of editors begins reviewing submissions in early March, and you can expect to hear back from us by the end of March. Every piece of written work will be read by at least three editors who will each fill out a review, which you may request to see after our final selections have been made. Readings will be done blindly. After the initial readings, the editing team will make final selections from the essays with the most positive reviews. Every piece of art will be reviewed by the whole team, with selection made based on aesthetic value, originality, and how well it fits into the yearly theme of the journal. Our editing team looks forward to reviewing your submissions!
