Topological data analysis (TDA) is a young and quickly-developing research area at the intersection of math, statistics, and computer science, which seeks to use topology to discern structure in complex data.

Format

The conference will consist of ten lectures by Vin de Silva, Associate Professor of Mathematics at Pomona College, as well as breakout sessions for collaboration and hands-on lab sessions involving TDA software.

Purpose

This conference seeks to equip attendees with the theoretical framework and practical tools of TDA, fostering new collaborations in TDA, especially among faculty at liberal arts institutions.
