{"id":64,"date":"2017-03-07T09:45:54","date_gmt":"2017-03-07T15:45:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pages.stolaf.edu\/mohl\/?p=64"},"modified":"2017-03-07T09:45:54","modified_gmt":"2017-03-07T15:45:54","slug":"research-update-spring-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pages.stolaf.edu\/mohl\/2017\/03\/07\/research-update-spring-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Update-Spring 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A lot has happened in the lab this past\u00a0year. \u00a0Most notably, Olivia and Jacqueline completed summer research projects, moving us forward in our study of local adaptation and geographic variation in common milkweed, <em>Asclepias syriaca<\/em>. \u00a0They logged lots of\u00a0hours in the greenhouse, measuring milkweed growth responses to damage by both <a href=\"https:\/\/pages.stolaf.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/611\/2017\/03\/JShovel.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-68\" src=\"https:\/\/pages.stolaf.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/611\/2017\/03\/JShovel-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"132\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a>aphids and caterpillars. \u00a0Jacqueline took the lead on this <a href=\"https:\/\/pages.stolaf.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/611\/2017\/03\/IMG_0937.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-67 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/pages.stolaf.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/611\/2017\/03\/IMG_0937-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"154\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a>project.
