BSME was conceived by the founders of <a href=\"http:\/\/budapestsemesters.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Budapest Semesters in Mathematics (BSM)<\/a>, and the two programs share a common goal\u2014to provide their participants with an opportunity to experience t<\/span><span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"color: #141823;\">he mathematical and general culture of Hungary. BSME is specifically intended for students who are not only passionate about mathematics, but also the <em>teaching<\/em> of mathematics.<\/span> BSME participants will study the <a href=\"http:\/\/bsmeducation.com\/about\/hungarian-approach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hungarian approach<\/a> to learning and teaching, in which a strong and explicit emphasis is placed on problem solving, mathematical creativity, and communication.
