Balance of Operations: CRALOG, Military Governments, and Voluntary Agencies<\/p>\n

CRALOG signed an agreement with the German CRALOG Committee for Berlin and the office of Military Government of the American, British, and French Sector of Berlin. The agreement defined the responsibilities of each organization, including the welfare activities and shipping and distribution of relief supplies.<\/span><\/p>\nThis agreement set forth the responsibilities<\/span> of operations. The relief supplies from the U.S. were being shipped to Germany by CRALOG who was also paying the freight, while the CRALOG German Committee, composed of the representatives from each of the voluntary agencies and German local welfare organizations, would assist in the distribution of goods.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe inland transportation of designated supplies would be the responsibilities of designated voluntary agencies. Otherwise, the German Committee would cover the costs.
