About me

Welcome to my website! My name is Jeremy L. Loebach and I am a Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at St. Olaf College where I have additional affiliations with the Neuroscience and Linguistic Studies programs. I also teach in the Science Conversation. I am the director of the Speech and Cognition Research Laboratory (or SCogLab for short) which can be found on this web page SCogLab. I identify primarily as a cognitive neuroscientist, and have research and teaching interests in a variety of related areas (speech perception, language, deafness, cochlear implants). I did my undergraduate work at Arizona State University, earning a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Sociocultural Anthropology. I then did my graduate work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology. My primary area of focus was Biological Psychology, and I minored in Cognitive Psychology (psycholinguistics) and Developmental Psychology (developmental psycholinguistics). After graduating, I completed a 3-year NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Speech Research Laboratory at Indiana University Bloomington.

On the following pages, you will find information about my research, publications, laboratory, teaching and how to get in touch with me.
