Norlie provides a map of congregations in Minnesota using symbols to indicate their synodical affiliations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We began hoping to use Norlie’s data to reproduce his \u00a0map and to add layers displaying changes in affiliation. \u00a0These maps show congregations’ affiliations in 1900<\/strong>, after formation of the United Church and the Lutheran Free Church, but before the 1917 organization of the Norwegian Lutheran Church in America. \u00a0Pop-up labels include page numbers in Norsk lutherske menighter<\/em>.<\/p>\n
