About Me

Hello! My name is Katrina Little and I’m a fourth year student at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. I will graduate with majors in Chemistry and Japanese, and concentrations in Environmental Studies and Asian Studies. I started studying Japanese four years ago, and hope to spend an extended period of time in Japan in the near future. I also aim to continue my study of Japanese as well as move forward with graduate school studies. Through the Asian Studies side of my education at St. Olaf, I experienced a lot of wonderful things: I explored unfamiliar corners of the world, made a few new favorite locations, shared delicious food with old friends and new, attempted a blog, and (eventually) introduced my family to Asia. Please enjoy my distinction portfolio!

A very big thank you to the Asian Studies Department, Japanese Department, 先生たち, the Luce Foundation’s Initiative on Asian Studies and the Environment (LIASE), the Jeffrey and Deborah Hayman Asian Studies Endowment, my friends and classmates, and my parents. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
