Dr. Laura Listenberger is Associate Professor in Biology and Chemistry at St. Olaf College. Her works centers around understanding the mechanisms of lipid storage in cells. Laura received her Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in Molecular Cell Biology and came to St. Olaf College in 2009.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Matt is a senior Biology and Chemistry major with a concentration in Biomolecular Science and is returning to the lab for his second year. Outside of working with model lipid droplets and studying, Matt is involved with the Cross-Country Running, Nordic Skiing and Track and Field teams at St. Olaf.<\/p>\n

Alex\u00a0<\/span>Long<\/span>\u00a0is currently a sophomore studying Biology and Biomolecular Science. In the lab, he studies the association of proteins to lipid droplets and how the alteration of the lipid droplet phospholipid monolayer affects these associations. After graduating from St. Olaf, Alex hopes to continue his education at a PhD or MD-PhD program. Alex is involved with the St. Olaf Martial Arts Club, and he plays viola in the St. Olaf Orchestra and a string quartet.<\/span><\/p>\n
