This is the Deichman Library! It’s the main library in Oslo and has six floors with many resources and room for events. This is a photo of the Future Library which is a literary project taking place in the library. Each of the glass containers will eventually contain literary works from a variety of selected authors that will remain secret for 100 years. On the hundredth anniversary of the project, the vaults will be unsealed and the works with be made available to the public. The library is full of artwork both permanent and temporary. This is a permanent piece at the entrance of the library. This is another piece in the center of the building. Each paper has a letter and together they create a really colorful piece! The statue is called Self Portrait and is made with cardboard. The piece depicts a person enjoying a book in the library. There were lots of books in English and other languages, but I went around to find some of my favorite books with their Norwegian covers and titles. This is the second book in the Beartown series by Fredrick Backman.
