SlideDeck Settings

Starting a new slide show:

  • Go to your dashboard and mouse over “Slide Deck 2” in the left menu.
  • Click “Manage SlideDeck” and then click again on the blue “Create SlideDeck” button on the right side of the page in the “Custom Content” box.
  • Give your  slideshow a name and click on “Image Slide” and upload your images either one at a time or several at the same time. If your images have been resized and are approximately the same size (640 X 480 for photos, for example or 500 X 800 for images of text pages), then it will speed up the process of creating your slideshow.

Editing slides:

  • To reorder your slides, you can click and drag them to the appropriate position.

Preview:  You can preview your slideshow at any time by clicking on “Preview.

Lenses: You should try the different lenses, but we often use the “Half Moon Lens” for photo slideshows. Each of these will give your slideshow a different look.

Setup: The size is the most important setting here.  Note that you can create a “Custom” size if you choose.

Playback: The most important settings are “Autoplay SlideDeck” and “Autoplay Interval.”

Save: Remember to click the “Save” button when you are finished.

Adding the SlideDeck:  To add the SlideDeck slideshow to your page, go to the “Edit” view of the one of your pages, and click the “Add SlideDeck” button which is above the rows of icons.  Find your SlideDeck and click on it to select it.  Add it to the page.
