PROJECT: ACE Radio Project Election 2016

Assignment Courtesy of Jeanne Willcoxon and Eric Fure-Slocum

This podcasting assignment allows groups of three students to grapple with a difficult topic of their choice in a thoughtful, informative yet persuasive way. Groups are asked to think widely about the 2016 election and choose a topic at the local, state, or national level that they can form an argument around. Though the final podcasts are only three to five minutes long, they should be “substantial journalistic pieces” in the style of This American Life or an NPR segment. Students are encouraged to include music, interviews, and any other elements alongside narration that they think will help best make their argument.
