By critically analyzing architectural design through a philosophical, sociological, and environmental lens, I plan to explore the factors governing architecture, as well as its greater impact in a community structure. By creating a multidimensional study incorporating philosophy, sociology, anthropology, history, political science, environmental studies, and art, I aim to take advantage of the liberal arts opportunity St. Olaf provides, and use that to bring a broader, more multidisciplinary approach to design.
