The following is a paper I wrote in the Spring of 2019 exploring sacred and secular space, and the relationship between German philosopher Martin Heidegger’s essay Building, Dwelling, Thinking, and Peter Zumthor’s “Bruder Klaus Chapel” in Mechernich, Germany.
