Get Planting Capstone Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For the \u201cGet Planting Event,\u201d I researched the environmental and human health benefits of gardening as a source of food, as well as the negative aspects of dependency on Big Agriculture.\u00a0 I created a proposal for a Home-Garden Supplies Distribution Event, drafted a budget, and cultivated a donor partnership with Sauk Prairie Healthcare that funded the project in its entirety.\u00a0 This distribution event included soil, seeds, and informational packets for every family, and window plants and a gardening practice station for kids.\u00a0 Get planting was organized and put on in collaboration with Sauk Prairie Community Education. <\/span><\/p>\n
