Welcome

Welcome to my CIS online portfolio dedicated to my individual major journey here at St. Olaf!

I knew my first semester Freshman year that I wanted to pursue an individual major. Unlike many students starting college, I knew exactly what I wanted to do after graduation; law school. With this goal already defined, I decided to make the most of my four years here to prepare myself the best I could to have a competitive law school application, and have a strong foundation for law school in the future.

My 4-year journey is coming to an end, and I’m delighted to announce I have accepted a seat at New England Law in Boston on a full ride merit scholarship. My individual major prepared me more than I could have hoped, though it took more time and effort than I thought I had at several points!

I could not have gotten where I am today without all of the support from my friends, family, and faculty at St. Olaf. I’m especially grateful to professor Douglass Casson for agreeing to be my individual major advisor, and helping me through the entire process, starting with Constitutional Law my Sophomore year.

I would also like to thank the Piper Center for giving me the opportunity to participate in the Svoboda Legal Scholars program during the summer of 2020 which helped me solidify my love for the law. Thank you Carl Lehmann for allowing me to assist you during the Svoboda program when the pandemic shut down the anticipated internships.

Thank you too, Susan Carlson, for helping me navigate the CIS process, and helping me create a successful major.
