Presentation by Professor Emily Carroll (Nursing)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\nProfessor Carroll has many years of experience being involved in community health work at HealthFinders Collaborative as a provider and in a leadership role. She will be presenting on harm reduction in rural communities affected by opioid use disorder. She will share the experiences of HealthFinders clinics implementing a low-barrier, low-threshold clinic for medications for Opioid Use Disorder as well as a syringe services program. Furthermore, she will explore how insurance, legal and cultural (specifically stigma) factors affect the treatment of substance use disorders.<\/p>\n
