Who am I?

I have been teaching at St. Olaf for more than 20 years in both biology and environmental studies. My background is in evolutionary biology, animal behavior, conservation and small mammals (squirrels, mice and voles), but more recently I have been working with bumble bees. I have a husband, three kids and two very cute granddaughters-one just a couple weeks old (see below). None of my kids live close by anymore! I also have a 3 year old dog named Willa who has been enthusiastically clearing our backyard of chipmunks and bunnies this winter.
