Painted by the Italian artist, Gaetano Gandolfi (1734-1802) in 1766 Bologna. His family is a family of artists and Gandolfi became quite popular and received recognition during his lifespan.

This image portrays a more grand wedding with Jesus as the center piece, despite this not being his wedding, and it also shows to wine jugs in the front. The realistic design states that this image is looking for more accuracy, and both the clothes and design of the building suggests Jesus being a man of wealth despite it not being mentioned in the text: blue and red dyes were quite the commodity at the time. Also, the light behind his head is a sign of support to “John’s” message of Jesus being the Messiah.
