IT/Library Faculty Orientation

Today, the Center for Innovation in the Liberal Arts is sponsoring a mid-year orientation for the new faculty at St. Olaf . The participants will get to meet a variety of other faculty and staff and attend sessions on teaching practices at St. Olaf, library and IT instructional resources, and employment and benefits.

Schedule:

  • Teaching a Course at St. Olaf – Helpful things to know
    8:30-10:15, Buntrock 142 (2nd floor of Buntrock Commons, along hallway to the Library)

  • Overview of Library and IT Instructional Resources and Services
    10:30-12:00, Rolvaag 250 (computer classroom at bottom of stairs by Library entrance)
    Kasia Gonnerman, Head of Research and Instruction
    Nancy Aarsvold, Assistant Director of Instructional Technology
    Ben Gottfried, Multimedia Instructional Technologist
    Jason Menard, GIS Instructional Technologist
    Phinehas Bynum, Helpdesk Manager
  • Lunch and conversation with current faculty
    12:15-1:30, Heritage Room (2nd floor of Buntrock Commons, looking over the north parking lot)
